Fall 2024A collaborative brand and packaging system that reimagines over-the-counter birth control through clarity, confidence, and user empowerment.
Reframing a daily ritual, Luna brings confidence and choice to reproductive health.
This project explores how we can transform the daily contraceptive experience. Developed during a semester-long collaborative studio, our team of industrial and communication designers researched, prototyped, and designed an over-the-counter birth control brand that prioritizes reducing the stigma.
Through form exploration, packaging structure development, and a cohesive visual identity, we connected physical product design with broader brand values centered on reproductive wellness and choice.

Visual Style Inspiration:
Rooted in warmth, rhythm, and quiet confidence, we drew inspiration from the lunar cycle. The brand embraces soft transitions, balanced composition, and approachable typography to reflect the natural cadence of reproductive health.
Luna moves away from the clinical discomfort associated with contraceptive packaging today. Instead, this system feels supportive and human. Luna is designed to blend seamlessly into daily routines while reinforcing trust and empowerment.
Look and Feel
Wordmark Development:
Luna’s wordmark balances warmth and quiet confidence through a high-contrast serif inspired by humanist calligraphy. A subtle italicized u emphasizes the individual, reinforcing the brand’s focus on autonomy, trust, and daily empowerment.

Form Development:
Exploring both internal and external forms to create a calm, approachable user experience. This packaging prioritizes rounded curves, simplified components, and eco-friendly materials.
