John Muir HealthSignage
Summer 2024
A comprehensive wayfinding system designed to improve clarity, accessibility, and ease of navigation within a large non-profit healthcare environment in the East Bay.

Completed during internship with Clearsotry – Wayfinding and Placemaking

Project Overview:

This opportunity focused on developing a cohesive wayfinding signage system from early concept through design development. The system was designed to address site-specific constraints while meeting ADA requirements and supporting intuitive navigation across the healthcare campus.

Strategic color coding and typographic hierarchy were used to guide users through the space, helping reduce confusion and cognitive load in a high-stress healthcare setting. The design balances functional clarity with the visual sensitivity required in medical environments, reinforcing a sense of reassurance, legibility, and trust.
